COnnect-Clarksburg and the City of Clarksburg would like to recognize and congratulate the following students for their exemplary academic achievement and receival of scholarships by EQT - the nation's largest producer of natural gas.
Since 2009, the EQT Foundation has given out about $4 million in college scholarships to students from all 55 counties in WV. On December 1st, the foundation presented approximately $500,000 in scholarships to students from all over the state.
EQT scholarship recipients typically have grade point averages well over 4.0 and are involved in school and civic projects.
This year’s recipients from Clarksburg-area schools are Hunter Mullens, Jeremiah Ritter and Christian Palmer from Notre Dame High School and Ethan Meighen from Robert C. Byrd High School.
The goal of the scholarships is to encourage West Virginia students to go to college and work in the state after graduation.
Congratulations to all the students and much success in your future.
