MCM's "Pound for Pound" Pet Food Challenge Sets Record! More Than 7 Tons Donated!

By Connect Clarksburg Staff | January 07, 2019
The results are in for the 2018 MCM Business Systems "Pound for Pound Challenge". The event is sponsored annually by Roger Lehosit and MCM Business Systems of Nutter Fort.

The drive benefits the Harrison County Humane Society.
Every pound of dog, cat or kitten food donated by the general public from October 1st to December 31st is matched "pound for pound" by Lehosit and his company.

This year's drive set a record with a total of 14,131 pounds of dog, puppy, cat and kitten food as well as cat/kitten litter. Prior to this year's challenge the record was just over 8000 pounds set in 2016. The 2018 total nearly doubled the highest year ever.

Lehosit offers a sincere "thank you" to everyone who donated and supported the annual effort.  The director, employees and volunteers at the Humane Society echo Lehosit's sentiment.

In 2018 alone, the Humane Society of Harrison County saved over 1100 animals from being euthanized.

Lehosit's family pet, Mumbles, is a rescued dog that they got from the Humane Society several years ago.
