Investment Banker Marie Prezioso will be Keynote Speaker for PWA Italian Culture Month

The Progressive Women's Association has announced that the Italian American Women of Distinction Awards Luncheon will be held on Friday, October 27th, at noon at the Uptown Event Center. This luncheon is held annuall in observance of Italian Culture Month. Ten local women from Harrison County will be honored.
 
Rosalyn Alonso. PWA President, has announced that bank financier Marie Prezioso will be the keynote speaker for this year's event. Miss Prezioso is an Italian American who was born and raised in Marion County. She will be speaking to the honorees and those attending the dinner about her heritage and how it has influenced her life.  She will also stress to them the importance of being involved in your community and the difference it makes when you volunteer to help others. 
 
Ms. Prezioso was appointed by Governor Jim Justice as Executive Director of the West Virginia Water Development Authority.  Her career includes 32 years as a public finance investor banker.  She holds a BS degree in Business Administration and a MBA degree from West Virginia University. She volunteers her time and expertise by serving on several boards in the state.  
 
In 2002 she was honored by the West Virginia Italian Heritage Festival as the Woman of the Year. She was also recognized by two governors as a Distinguished West Virginian. Ms. Prezioso is the sister of WV State Senator Roman Prezioso who resides in Marion County.
