More than 86,000 names were removed from the active voter registration rolls in West Virginia in 2017, Secretary of State Mac Warner said late last week.

Warner’s office released a report on voter registration numbers. Warner took office last January.

Warner’s elections division staff working with county clerks in all 55 counties cancelled 86,403 deceased, outdated, duplicate and convicted felon voter registration files in the past year.
