The North Central West Virginia Airport is pleased to host the 16th Annual West Virginia Aviation Conference beginning Sunday, August 5 and running through Tuesday, August 7 at the Bridgeport Conference Center. The conference is expected to draw representatives from the aviation community as well as seven commercial service and 17 general aviation airports from across the state.

It has previously been held at the Greenbrier, Glade Springs, and Snowshoe Resort. The event is a partnership of the West Virginia Airport Manager’s Association, and West Virginia Aeronautics Commission.

The three-day event begins with participants being able to enjoy one of West Virginia’s premier markets - the Bridgeport Farmer’s Market at Charles Point, located right at the Bridgeport Conference Center. This is followed by a golf tournament at the Robert Trent Jones designed Bel Meadow Golf Club and Bridgeport’s A Mountain Clays for a world class clay shooting experience.

Selection of these events coincides with the overall goal of raising awareness of the infinite tourist destinations in the region.

Sunday evening, the public is invited to attend “Aviation Night at Charles Pointe” featuring North Central West Virginia’s vibrant jazz music scene. It's part of a "Pub Crawl."

“North Central West Virginia has been called the best small market jazz scene in America. The lineup of musicians is as good as you will find anywhere,” said West Virginia Jazz Society President Eric Spelsberg.

The top-rated entertainment is offered free to the public at the following venues: Bridgeport Conference Center, Mia Margherita’s, Meaghers, and BW3.  These venues are excited to offer live music and to support.
