PWA's "Woman of Distinction" Honor to be Awarded to Michelle Audia Palmer

In observance of National Italian Heritage Month for October, the Progressive Women's Association will honor ten women of Italian heritage during a noon luncheon on Friday, October 27. The event will take place at Uptown Event Center and will feature bank financier Marie Prezioso as keynote speaker.

Connect Clarksburg is pleased to present this introduction of one of this year's honorees.

Rosalyn Queen Alonso, PWA President, noted that the Women of Distinction Program recognizes Harrison County women who have made a difference in their communities. She described this highly-successful program as an expression of gratitude for their commitment and continued support to the Clarksburg community and Harrison County.

This program is a continuation of our mission - “A movement providing opportunities to empower women in their personal advancement that will enable them to impact their community,”  Mrs. Alonso said.

This event is sponsored through the generous support of Davis Funeral Home.

The individial woman recognized this year in thecategory of Performing Arts is Michelle Audia Palmer.
 
Michelle is formally educated in both music performance and educational leadership and is a licensed Kindermusik educator.
 
At St. Mary’s Grade School, Michelle teaches Music and Enrichment and serves as Director of Enrollment and Artistic Director of Theater productions. Michelle is also active in her church and has performed with numerous local theater groups.
 
Michelle and her husband, Glen Palmer, have five children, Christian, Nicholas, Nathaniel, Mary Claire, and Madeline.
