In observance of National Italian Heritage Month for October, the Progressive Women's Association will honor ten women of Italian heritage during a noon luncheon on Friday, October 27. The event will take place at Uptown Event Center and will feature bank financier Marie Prezioso as keynote speaker.

Connect Clarksburg is pleased to present this introduction of one of this year's honorees.

Rosalyn Queen Alonso, PWA President, noted that the Women of Distinction Program recognizes Harrison County women who have made a difference in their communities. She described this highly-successful program as an expression of gratitude for their commitment and continued support to the Clarksburg community and Harrison County.

This program is a continuation of our mission - “A movement providing opportunities to empower women in their personal advancement that will enable them to impact their community,”  Mrs. Alonso said.

This event is sponsored through the generous support of Davis Funeral Home.

If you would like to attend, please contact Elinda Carson at the PWA at (304) 624-6881 by Monday, October 23 to make reservations. Tickets are $10 per person. Seating is limited but the event is open to the public.  Family members and friends of the honorees are welcome and invited to attend.
